How Do I Accept An Offer That Is Lower Than My Buy-It-Now Price For A Fixed Price Listing?
Keith asks, I had an e-mail from a buyer asking if I would accept a lower price on a fixed price listing. I’d like to take his offer. How do I do it?
Check your eBay knowledge now. |
There are two ways to do this. . .
The eBay approved way is to lower the price of the item using the revise item link on the listing, and then message the buyer saying you’ll take his offer and you have lowered the Buy-It-Now price.
A second way is to have the seller send you payment through PayPal outside eBay, then cancel the listing. If eBay catches you sending messages offering to do this through their mail system, they’ll suspend your account. If you take this route, make sure you respond to the question by email rather than with the eBay message system. Depending on the item and the countries you and your buyer reside in, you may not be able to avoid using the eBay message system.
