Does eBay Have Slow Seasons?
Is there a better time of the year to list items. Is summer slower that, say, the fall winter or spring? Are there any statistics on this? I really don’t want to waste my listing fee money if no one is going to bid.
Thanks for all your good advice in the book and through email,
Bob

Ebay does have slower seasons. Right now in August the train items I sell to operators aren’t bringing the same money they’d bring in the late fall and early winter.
I am sure other items suffer from these slumps. Right now, school supplies are good sellers.
The best way to deal with these seasonal slumps is to have a wide range of merchandise. That way you’ve always got something in demand.
When I buy trains for resale, I always pay based on slow sales periods. That way, I can look at the price bump around Christmas as a bonus.
