Placing An Image Next To Your Title In Search Results
Terry,
I obviously am doing something wrong. I can get a good picture in the main listing both from e-Bay’s server as well as on my ISP’s server. And I can put picture into the main body of my listing by using the img src=http: But what I can’t figure out is how to make my picture show up beside the Item Title in the search and category listings. Please help!
Thanks, Cary Veteto
Cary,
In order to get your image to show up in the search results and categories next to your title, you need to specify a gallery image.
The fastest way to do this is to put the URL of your overall image into the gallery. This option costs an extra 35 cents per listing. There is an additional option called Gallery Plus. Gallery Plus allows searchers to enlarge the photo without looking at the auction.
I’ve never tested Gallery Plus, so I can’t tell you if it’s worth using, but I doubt many eBay searchers know about it. You might test the Gallery Plus, but I’d just do the cheaper gallery image. Making people open your auction to see what you have makes more sense anyway.
