The postage I charged was more than actual cost. I want to refund the extra to the buyer. How do I refund the overcharge?
Terry, I tried listing some items on eBay and was told I needed a Credit card to sell on eBay. I don’t have a credit card, can I sell on eBay without one?
I sell on eBay and ship with both Priority mail and Parcel post. The payment emails from PayPal don’t tell me what shipping service I selected when I listed the item on eBay. This means I have to look at ebay to find out the shipping service. Is there a way to get PayPal to tell me the shipping type?

I went to a couple forums on eBay, and all I saw were horror stories about selling and buying not getting paid or getting ripped off. Does this happen at a high rate? Is it just people in the forums wanting to scare others off? Quite a few seem just plain dissatisfied with eBay.
Hate to bug you about all this, but if it is as bad as these forums indicate I don’t believe I want to take a chance on eBay. I will just try to promote my web sites and products elsewhere and not waste time with eBay.
Robert sent in this question: “I heard PayPal will start sending 1099 reports to the IRS this year. What does this mean to eBay sellers?”
Dorothy sent this question: “I shipped a package to an eBay Buyer and used delivery confirmation. Now the buyer is claiming he didn’t get the package, and PayPal says they refund his money if I don’t provide them with a tracking number that confirms delivery. What can I do?”
Roberta sent in this question: “I have an eBay Buyer in Germany who is asking me to Ship the package to his friend in New York so he can save on shipping. Should I send it to New York or Germany?”
Just a question; I recently find myself prohibited from offering payment ‘by Money Order ONLY’ in my listings and am having a hard time determining if its a new police or something I did. Do you have any insight to this?
I recently purchased your eBay mastery course and on page 42 there is a link to an article about Merchant accounts. This link is not working and I have searched your web-site but don’t find the article. Can you tell where to find this article?
I am considering taking your advice on setting up a separate buyer account…I have already started the process using your instructions…but my dilemma is…what about Paypal for the new account…do I have to set up a new account with them also?…any advice will be appreciated
Ebay has started forcing sellers that accept Paypal to accept credit card payments even if they only want to accept payment through bank-to-bank instant transfer.
I’m not a business. I just use Ebay to get rid of stuff around the house. I cannot afford to pay the Paypal charges for accepting credit card purchase. Ebay will cancel your listing if you state “you only accept bank-to-bank instant transfer” but will accept “prefers bank-to-bank instant transfer”. Is there a way around this issue? It’s come to the point that it’s not worth it for me to list items on Ebay.

I read your newsletter all the time and find the information useful. I am particularly interested in seeing some mail and questions from other readers. Having said that, can you finish your response to the question about the Buyer Complaining About Misrepresentation? You elaborated on what they should do regarding the bidder, but you didn’t elaborate on PayPal and what seems to me to be total authority to do whatever they want with other people’s money that is in their possession.
Yes, you guessed it, PayPal removed money from my account before too, and never gave a reason despite many inquiries.
